Candidate Eligibility Requirements

Global Affairs and Health Policy
This track examines international development, healthcare delivery models, and comparative government strategies. Field visits across China allow scholars to study regional medical services and public policy execution firsthand.
Economics, Business, and Public Administration
Scholars analyze international trade agreements, regulatory policy, and economic trends. Coursework pairs technical analysis with practical group projects alongside Chinese research teams.

- Three recommendation letters from professors or workplace supervisors
- Two leadership essays describing specific experiences leading teams or solving problems
- One‑minute video introducing your background and program interest

Application Windows and Selection Timeline
Application timelines depend on the applicant’s citizenship status.
The global portal opens annually in April and closes strictly in mid-September for international candidates holding citizenship outside mainland China. Applicants holding Chinese passport status follow a separate selection timeline that closes in May.
Selection committees screen candidates during October. Shortlisted applicants complete panel interviews in late October or November. Final selection results go out in December for studies starting the following August.
