Huawei Seeds for the Future

The Huawei Seeds for the Future program offers a short-term, fully funded training and cultural exchange initiative for university students. Organized annually by Huawei Technologies, it combines technical coursework, industry exposure, and cross-cultural workshops. Participants gain practical skills in information and communications technology (ICT) while collaborating with peers from around the world.

The Internship Funding Coverage and Living Support

Selected students receive full sponsorship. No tuition or registration fees apply.

  • Round-trip airfare to program destinations and local transport during activities.
  • Hotel housing plus daily meal provisions or allowances.
  • Coverage of all course fees, workshops, lab tours, and expert lectures.
  • Invitation letters and reimbursement for visa application fees, depending on local Huawei office policies.

NOTE: This program does not provide a monthly salary. It functions as an intensive study camp with all major expenses covered.

The Internship Curriculum and Core Modules

Training lasts 1–2 weeks depending on the regional cohort.

  • Sessions on 5G networks, cloud infrastructure, AI, cybersecurity, and digital power systems.
  • Teams of up to eight students design technology-based solutions for local challenges; Winning groups advance to global finals with mentorship and project support.

Eligibility Requirements to Apply

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate students at accredited universities.
  • STEM majors are prioritized, but business students with a technology focus may apply.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent Academic Standing.
  • Strong English proficiency.
  • Each national cohort must include at least 33% female participants.
  • Applicants must apply through their national Huawei office or partner university.
