About the Scholarship
The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) is a special program funded by the Irish government. Each year, 60 scholarships are given to top students from outside the EU/EEA.
This scholarship supports one year of full-time postgraduate study in Ireland. It is managed by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) and is awarded based on merit.

Who Can Apply
- International students from outside the EU/EEA/UK/Switzerland can apply.
- International students with an admission offer for a Master’s, Postgraduate Diploma, or Ph.D. program in Ireland.
- International students with good academic results.
- International students with proven English level tests.
- International students with who join community work, sports, arts, or leadership activities.
- Required to write a clear statement about why you want to study in Ireland and how it fits your goals.
