About Anhui Normal University

Founded in 1928, Anhui Normal University (ANU) is the oldest institution in Anhui Province. With its location in Wuhu City which is adjacent to Shanghai and Nanjing and well-known as a land of fish and rice and nested in the southern bank of the Yangtze River. ANU has benefitted from the spirit of the nature of the south of the Yangtze River and cherished the spirit of the humanities in Anhui and therefore has been one of provincial key universities Presently, ANU possesses 8 Ph. D. first-level subjects, 5 post-doctoral research stations,29 master degree first-level subjects,14professional degrees, 18 provincial key subjects,3 provincial major subjects’ construction, 88 undergraduate majors.ANU enrolls students who can enjoy scholarship and is also one of national Chinese language education bases for the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council’s and the location of Anhui Province Chinese International Promotion Center. Our university can meet the different learning needs of short-term Chinese language training, long-term Chinese language study, Chinese language and literature undergraduate, master's degree, and doctoral degree; There is Confucius Institute Scholarship(CIS), one-year and one-half year trainees; Chinese and Chinese culture study summer camp and winter camp.
